There is no great difference in diseases between boys and girls from 0-9 years of old. The causes of death are similar for both genders in this period. The births before the term, asphyxia and serious infections are the main afflictions of death during the first month of life for girls and boys. Pneumonia, diarrhoea and malaria are the main causes of death during the first five years of life, especially in such region as Africa. According to statistics girls less than five years usually gain weight better than boys. This fact can mean the future obesity and further cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and some types of cancers. It is important to control the weight of a girl and her eating habits from the very early years of life. Girls are more often hurt and sexually attracted than boys. Girls suffer from sexual violence of any character three times more often than boys.
