Cialis interactions with other drugs

You should be greatly concerned about dosage of Cialis and possible health risks if you are:

a.     Allergic to the main component of the drug –tadalafil;

b.     Having heart problems and chest pain;

c.      Having vision problems – Cialis can lessen blood flow to the eye and cause sudden vision loss. This side effect occurs not very often, mainly to male who had heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or eye diseases, to the aged and smokers;

d.     Taking nitrate drug for chest pain or heart problems, including nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate and isosorbide mononitrate or recreational drugs such as amyl nitrate or nitrite with Cialis can cause a serious decrease in blood pressure, leading to fainting, stroke, or heart attack;

e.      Dizzy during sexual activity, or if you have pain in your chest, arms, neck, or jaw, stop and consult your physician. These symptoms could be serious side effects of Cialis.

Certain drugs can interact with Cialis; here is the list of medications that should not be used with Cialis:

  • certain drugs for high blood pressure;
  • certain drugs for the treatment of AIDS;
  • medicines for prostate problems;
  • rifabutin, rifampin or rifapentine.
